Overland Tour Description |
'Your journey begins in Kenya in Africa's spectacular Rift Valley, with the wide open plains of East Africa stretched before us. Be enthralled by Africa's tribal people and wildlife unchallenged in their diversity.
Make your way down through the plains of the Serengeti; explore the coastal reefs of exotic Zanzibar Island in the Indian Ocean, and then finally discover the fresh water jewel of Lake Malawi. In the South Luangwa National Park we'll seek out some of Africa's big cats on an unforgettable evening game drive. Gasp at the most spectacular natural wonder of them all, Victoria Falls - Mosi-oa-Tunya, "The Smoke that Thunders". Be enthralled as you try to tame some of the most terrifying white water rapids in the world. Or give in to sanity and slip gently along the upper Zambezi.
A whole world away we discover the mysterious Okavango Delta. A labyrinth of twisting and turning watery secrets. Gently polingthrough these winding waterways we view the teeming bird and wildlife. Namibia means "open plains" in the ancient Hottentot language. Its vast horizons and moonlike terrain give a wonderful feeling of space and freedom. Etosha is a unique National Park. With its flat open saltpans it is easy to see why the local people call it "The Great White Place".
The Namib Desert is said to be one of the oldest deserts in the world and you will climb some of the world's highest sand dunes at Sossusvlei. Onwards to the Fish River Canyon, this takes you back in time as the river cuts through 100 million years of the earth's geological history.
Your adventure safari ends at the fairest Cape beneath the majestic Table Mountain. |
