Windhoek, Capital of Namibia

Namibia’s capital city and around 1700m above sea level, the town developed around a permanent spring. Initially founded in 1840 after Jonker Afrikaner, the town was led to neglect after years of multiple wars and hostilities it was founded a second time by Major Curt von Francois in 1890.
