We would love to grow this page and list African based community projects that you know of or have personally experienced. Please email us all the details and we would be happy to list.

1 Week Community Life Kenya

This tour has been designed for the responsible traveller that is keen to take on a rewarding challenge and support our ongoing community programmes, but who may be short of time or keen to tag onto another experience. Mukurumuji Camp only sleeps 10 people so you can be assured of a very personal experience.

Life 1 allows you to reach out to less privileged communities and really makes a difference. You will work alongside local Kenyans on school projects and help improve the lives of the local people with an emphasis on the local school children. The time spent may seem short, but you will be making a valuable contribution to sustainable development in a beautiful setting.

You will spend three days working on classrooms renovations and other amenities which will provide you with opportunities to learn new skills such as bricklaying, plastering and painting as well as experiencing the very important cultural interaction aspect with the local people. The Indian Ocean is only 45 minutes away and we have included an optional trip to the beach also.

10 Day Kenya Family Life

We try and design our itineraries around things that we enjoy. We have created a 10 day experience that gives your family the chance to work and play together in an extraordinary environment, rich in culture and new experiences. We have kept this itinerary uncomplicated as we also have families and understand that sometimes a timetable is the last thing you need. We also feel that often the really rewarding experiences are the simple moments where you just get time together, as a family, away from it all.

The activities we have chosen are both educational and exciting and will enable you and your family to immerse in the culture of Kenya, with opportunities to view culture and wildlife.

Our camp has a total of 10 beds and this trip is suitable for children over the age of 8 and adults of all ages (i.e. you can bring Grandma if you like!).
