Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe – Chobe National Park, Botswana

We depart from Victoria Falls to journey to the border of Botswana in order to meet up with our safari guide and travel the brief distance to Kasane. Upon our arrival in the small town, we prepare for our afternoon safari into the Chobe National Park. Armed with sunscreen and cameras we climb aboard our safari vehicles, seeking out lion, leopard, hyena, elephant, giraffe and a wide variety of antelope and birdlife whilst winding our way through the reserve’s  gravel tracks and rough terrain. Chobe National Park was the very first National Park to be constructed in Botswana, and is the third biggest Park throughout the whole country. It is also home to Africa’s biggest population of elephant. The Chobe River is one of Africa’s most exquisite, and contains a massive concentration of different animals. We search the horizon and riverbanks trying to spot animals that are looking for water as the day turns to night. Following a satisfying day of game viewing, we arrive back at our accommodation and sleep beneath the star-speckled African sky.
