Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe – Chobe National Park, Botswana
We journey a brief distance from Victoria Falls to the border, cross from Zimbabwe into Botswana. Arriving in the tiny town of Kasane, we settle in at our accommodation for the evening and begin preparing for our outing into magnificent Chobe National Park. After lunch you can unwind by the pool or participate in an open 4X4 game drive and begin the search for lion, leopard, hyena, elephant, giraffe and a variety of antelope and birdlife whilst winding through dusty roads and rough landscapes. Chobe National Park was Botswana’s first protected wildlife reserve to be constructed, and is the biggest park in the entire country, containing one of Africa’s most exquisite rivers – The Chobe River, which supports a massive concentration of wildlife. We enter the Chobe once more in the late afternoon, this time on a river cruise that offers us incredible views of the animals searching for water as the sun sets. Satisfied with a lovely day of game viewing and such, we unwind beneath the star-speckled African sky.
