Okavango Delta – Maun, Botswana

Following a final game walk in the morning and a delicious breakfast, we gather our things and pack them into our mokoros, leaving behind only our footprints. We smoothly glide over the quiet waterways and make our way back to the poler’s station where our 4X4 awaits us. Once we’ve said our goodbyes to our polers, we head back into civilization once more, where we delight in hot showers, a tasty lunch and a refreshing dip in the swimming pool. Feeling fresh and invigorated, this afternoon we are given a chance to join the guide for an outing into town where you are free to browse the shopping area and markets peppered around the central business district. A well-loved activity here is a flight over the Delta that gives you a fantastic aerial view of your enormous and magnificent surroundings. From the sky you will gain an entirely new perspective of the Delta and, subsequently, a better appreciation for the natural beauty that surrounded you for the past few days. Heading back to camp, we delight in a swim and a hearty supper that brings the night to an end, beneath the star-studded African sky.
