Bulawayo – Matobo National Park, Zimbabwe

We rise early to meet our guides for our visit and game drive into Matobo National Park. Situated just a brief distance outside of Bulawayo lies the Matobo National Park where you will be led by an expert guide through the stunning reserve. The Matobo Hills are sculpted by the strong winds in the area and is the site of various exquisite Bushman paintings. It holds an exceptional cultural and spiritual significance to the indigenous people. This reserve contains the largest population of black and white rhino in Africa and if conditions are suitable we will be lead on a guided walk searching for a closer view of these magnificent animals. The park also has the highest population of leopard and black eagle in the world, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for these magnificent animals. We also try our best to spot giraffe, zebra, and ostrich, as well as a wide assortment of antelope and buck species.
