Lake Naivasha – Lake Elmenteita – Lake Nakuru

We recommend you arrive a day beforehand so that you can settle in and prepare yourself for the trip of a lifetime. A pre-departure meeting is also held which is very helpful in preparing you for the 5 days ahead. Kenya is a very popular tourist destination in East Africa. You will be welcomed with terms like ‘Jambo’ (hello) and ‘Hakuna matata’ (no problem), setting the mood for this enthralling adventure through East Africa. Nairobi has grown extensively over the years with a busy trade industry where you can practise your bargaining skills. Emerge yourself in city life by roaming through the craft markets, book stores and restaurants where you can taste the local cuisine of the area.

Once you have thoroughly indulged yourselves in Nairobian culture, we will head down to ‘The Great Rift Valley’. This is an intra-continental ridge system which runs north to south through Kenya. We visit Lake Naivasha where you can explore Elsamere a Conservation Centre and Hell’s Gate National Park. There are plenty of optional activities to partake in, especially water sports and boat rentals.
Our wildlife experience begins at Lake Elmenteita where your eyes will be opened by the prolific birdlife, particularly the flamingos and great white pelicans. Other wildlife includes eland, warthogs and the elegant gazelles. Get a good night’s rest before our trip to Nakuru National Park the following day which is a soda lake that feeds hundreds of flamingos. Look out for the endangered white rhino, leopard, rhino, buffalo and lion.

We overnight at Lake Elmenteita right on the edge of the lake where you can spend your time chilling with a sundowner and watching the animal’s activities in the early evening.
