A visit to Victoria Falls is first on the list for our tour. At certain times of the year, the spay from the falls is viable from up to 20-30 kilometres away. Don’t forget your rain jacket to keep you and your camera dry. It is recommended that you book a few days of pre tour accommodation, giving you time to explore the Falls and the area as there are lots of activities on offer.
You are free to explore the Livingstone area to the full. Apart from the long list of adventure activities, you should make a point to check out the markets and fascinating museum in nearby Livingstone, volunteer a day in a worthwhile local charity project, take a day trip to the Victoria Falls township in Zimbabwe, or simply use your time to unwind on the gorgeous campsite deck and watch the water of the Zambezi River flow swiftly past on its way to Victoria Falls.
The Mosi oa Tunya National Park surrounds our campsite, so for those adventurers wanting more game drives, these are available right on your doorstep. You will have the chance to watch elephants crossing the Zambezi River from Zimbabwe, herds of buffalo, giraffe, white rhino, eland, warthog, hippo and even a vast variety of monkey species.
Please Note: For the sake of practicality, meals in Livingstone/Victoria Falls area are restricted to breakfasts. This allows you to take on half day or full day activities (some of which include lunch) without having to back with the group mealtimes. The Victoria Falls Waterfront camp restaurant overlooks the Zambezi River and offers a good selection of reasonably priced meals and snacks throughout the day (allow US$15-$30 per meal). Relax and enjoy these few days at your own leisure. Alternatively, take a taxi into Livingstone to try local fare.
