Kruger National Park – Polokwane, South Africa
We awake to the early morning sounds of nature before enjoying breakfast in the Park. Our journey leads us over beautiful scenic passes and flourishing citrus farms along the valleys and mountains of Limpopo – known as an eco-tourism destination in Southern Africa. We enter Polokwane, exploring this fascinating area on foot. We learn about the Bakone Culture and the open air museum teaches us the traditions of this interesting tribe. Here, we are able to get up close to the various species, of which there are 21 mammals (including white rhino) and 200 bird species. We spend the evening at a lodge nearby before heading off to the Great Limpopo River in Botswana the following day.
