Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe – Chobe National Park, Botswana

We journey a brief distance from Victoria Falls to the border of Botswana, over the merging of the Chobe and Zambezi Rivers. Arriving in the tiny town of Kasane, we arrive at the lodge for the evening and begin preparation for the game drive into the Chobe National Park. Armed with sunscreen and cameras, we climb aboard our open 4X4 vehicle and begin our search for lion, leopard, hyena, elephant, giraffe and a variety of antelope and birdlife whilst winding through dusty roads and rough landscapes. Chobe National Park was the first national park to be constructed in Botswana and is the biggest park in the entire country. The Chobe River is one of the most stunning in Africa and sustains a massive population of wildlife. We enter the Chobe once more in the early evening, this time on a river cruise that offers us incredible views of the animals searching for water as the sun sets. Satisfied with a lovely day of game viewing and such, we unwind beneath the star-speckled African sky.
