Cederberg – Orange (Gariep) River, South Africa

Today we continue our journey north, heading through the area known as Namaqualand, renowned for it’s abundance of Namaqua wildflowers that bloom in the spring. We stop to gather supplies in Springbok, a small mining town, and continue our drive through the desert area of the Richtersveld toward the Orange River, which acts as a natural land border between South Africa and Namibia. We camp at a beautiful site on the South African bank of the river.
