Johannesburg – Serowe, South Africa

Today’s journey leads us through a deserted part of central-eastern Botswana. We make our way into Botswana and complete the day at the magnificent Khama Rhino Sanctuary, a unique community-funded project that aids in the conservation of wildlife. The Sanctuary is situated around the Serowe Pan, a massive grass-covered depression with numerous natural water holes and spreading over approximately 4,3000 hectares of Kalahari desert. The haven is located 25 kilometres north of Serowe – one of Africa’s biggest traditional villages. If we make good time we will be able to go on a rhino game drive.
