The Kingdom of Swaziland

Today we awake to the grunting of antelope and the sweet sounds of wild and exotic birds. We delight in a tasty breakfast and soak in the natural beauty of our surrounds as much as possible. A brief journey through the sanctuary leads us to the Royal Enclosure, where we immerse ourselves in an abundance of history and culture about the last remaining monarchy controlled country.

We are taken on a walk by a local Swaziland guide who will explain various customs and rituals. Following some leisure time spent browsing through the street side markets and attempting to barter with the artists, we make our way back to the sanctuary in time for a delicious lunch. During the afternoon, you are encouraged to take part in several of the various activities on offer in the sanctuary, including horseback trails, mountain bike riding, guided walks or simply spend some relaxing time spent soaking in the sun at the poolside with a good book in hand. Over forty species of wildlife can be spotted here, including exotic species such as the Honey Badger, Dwarf Mongoose, Aardwolf, Striped Polecat, as well as the more common animals such as hippo, ostrich, kudu, zebra and baboon. Our magical night begins by delighting in sundowners and marvelling at the incredible view that overlooks the hippo pool. This is done whilst our crew prepare tonight’s feast for us.
