Swaziland – St Lucia, South Africa

We depart from the sanctuary today in order to pay a visit to a unique Swazi candle factory prior to crossing the border and heading back into South Africa through the province of KwaZulu-Natal. Upon our arrival in the modest forest farming town of Hluhluwe, we are given time to settle into our accommodation for the night before being treated to an all-inclusive tour of a Zulu village that allows us to gain insight into the warrior traditions of the Zulu, which are in harsh contrast to the non-violent Swazi tribes. We make our way back to camp in the late afternoon and spend some time exploring our gorgeous surrounds, keeping an eye out for nocturnal animals such as bush babies who enjoy frolicking in the dense, green forestry in the night time.
