Sossusvlei, Namibia
During the morning of today, we will be driving to the Namib-Naukluft National Park. Our trip to Dune 45 will begin shortly after sunrise when we enter the park. We can marvel at the changing colors of the desert from a vantage point high on Dune 45, which is a brisk climb up. After descending this famous dune, we will enjoy a hearty breakfast, followed by a transfer by four wheel drive into Sossusvlei, where we will visit the pans at Sossusvlei and Deadvlei on foot. After removing the red sand from our shoes, we sleep under the starlit sky, knowing that we have enjoyed the wonders of this harsh habitat for a full day.
