Sesriem to Fish River Canyon, South Africa
Waking early, we leave to watch the sunrise over this stunning area and we depart the tranquillity of the dunes in order to make our way south to the Fish River Canyon. This is the world’s second biggest canyon at approximately 161 kilometres long, 27 kilometres wide and around 550 metres deep. The outer part of the canyon was created by tectonic shifts while the inner portion was formed by erosion. There is a driving route that follows the eastern rim, allowing us entry to numerous view points where we can take in spectacular views and breathtaking sunsets.
