The Cape Whale Coast Route & Africa’s Southernmost Tip, South Africa

At the intersection of the Atlantic and Indian oceans, Cape Agulhas is the southernmost tip of the African continent.  Our next stop will be the beautiful Cape Whale Coast, one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline along the South African coast. A collection of villages, farms, rivers, bays, coves, and valleys stretch for approximately 150 kilometers from the town of Rooiels to the east.  During the months of July through November, southern right whales frequent Hermanus’ shores, so we will have a brief opportunity to walk along the boardwalk. After visiting Stony Point Nature Reserve, we travel along the coast to Cape Town’s city center, where we visit the largest breeding colony of African Penguins. As soon as you arrive in the city center of Cape Town, your tour will come to an end.
