Serengeti National Park

We head off into the Serengeti National Park while crossing into Tanzania. The Serengeti is 14 700 square kilometres, but is mostly known for having over 3 million animals. Here you can look forward to seeing zebra, wildebeest, zebra, lion, hyena, hippos and ostriches. You will see most of these animals on a game drive on our way to the camp. The landscape changes from vast open plains to thick shrubbery and further along it changes into a forest as we head north. You will also see the infamous acacia trees (prolific in Africa) and large rocky outcrops.

When we arrive at the park you can sip on a cold sundowner and have a few snacks, then we will head onto the camp. We will spend two nights in the Kati Kati tented camp which is a highlight of this trip.

These tents offer large beds, clothes racks, a sink, a ‘bucket shower’ and a toilet. This camp is an eco-friendly camp, so we ask you to take this into consideration. There is also a lounge area and a comfortable mess tent where you can enjoy your meals. Here you get a taste of the bush with a few comforts.
