Damaraland, Namibia

We will be exploring the Twyfelfontein Heritage site today as well as the Petrified Forest. Here you will see the ancient rock engravings where you will be informed of the history. There are old fossilised tree trunks in the forest. Then we will go to the Living Museum of Damara which where the ancient culture is preserved. You will also learn about the culture of the Bushmen, the oldest nation in Nambia. The Bushmen are hunter gatherers and herd sheep, goats and cattle. The Bushmen are fighting against colonisation from the western culture as they face extinction. We will return to the lodge at 14h00 where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
