Tshipise – Hazyview – Kruger National Park, South Africa

From Tshipise, we make our way across to the leading game reserve of southern Africa, the ‘Kruger’. The fences that previously separated Kruger National Park from its neighbouring private game reserves were removed in order to create an enormous ‘Greater Kruger’ with an area of over 24,000 square kms. Here, we overnight for two evenings in the hopes of getting a comprehensive look at the diverse wildlife that populates Africa during a full day’s game drive through the National Park. This evening we are entertained with song and dance by the local Shangaan tribesmen, making it a truly unique and unforgettable experience.

Rising early, the next day, we enjoy an open 4×4 full day game drive through the park. This includes lion, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, perhaps leopard, and around 500 species of birdlife. The landscape is mostly bush and plains, but with perfectly decent road networks, it allows us relatively easy access to most parts of the reserve. Our final night of safari is spent celebrating our time together and sharing our favourite stories and encounters.
