Nomad Africa Accommodation and Campsites
On the Nomad Camping Tours you will camp in the wild in two-man canvas dome tents (with built-in mosquito nests). The tents are easy to put up, and your guide will help you. Sleeping mats are provided, but you need to bring your own sleeping bag, pillow and a towel or two. There are basic amenities and some campsites have pools and bars (although it is suggested you take your own alcohol which you can purchase along the way).
On Nomad Accommodated Tours you enjoy a more comfortable experience by staying in bedded accommodation (twin and single rooms) within hostels, hotels, chalets, lodge-style bungalows, permanent tents and traditional African huts. You can expect 2-3 star accommodation with access to pools (at select properties) and bars at some of the venues.
Nomad Food on Tour
On both camping and accommodated tours you can enjoy tasty meals with local organic ingredients that are purchased from local markets that support the communities – the guides often stop at a local market to stock up on fresh items. The breakfasts are fairly simple consisting of bread (or toast), spreads, cereals, fruit, rusks with occasional hot breakfasts such as eggs bacon or pancakes. Lunches include sandwiches with a variety of fillings and salads. Dinners such as curries, stews, pastas, braais and even roasts will be enjoyed around the campfire.
