South Africa is known to have one of the world’s highest commercial bungee bridges in the world, known as Bloukrans. It comes in at a staggering height of 216 metres above the Bloukrans River. The Bloukrans Bungee Bridge is located between Plettenberg Bay and Knysna – two beautiful seaside towns that are well worth a visit.

4. Abseil down Table Mountain | Cape Town
Cape Town is every adventure junkies dream destination. Not only does it offer a plethora of adventurous activities, such as: paragliding, bungee jumping, shark cage diving and abseiling (to name a few); but the views of the city will blow you away!
Table Mountain is Cape Town’s most iconic landmark. It towers over the city, and affords Cape Town the backdrop of dreams. If you’re not afraid of heights, go abseiling down Table Mountain! Devil’s Pool Victoria Falls | Zimbabwe and Zambia
The Devil’s Pool is the most unique activity, for sure. The Devil’s Pool, which can be accessed from Zimbabwe or Zambia, is the first and only of its ‘kind’. You won’t find this on offer anywhere else in the world! So what is the Devil’s Pool? It’s a pool located on the top of the Victoria Falls. One can practically swim in the water and peer over the side to catch an unforgettable sight of the water rushing over the cliff; making up the Victoria Falls itself.

Climb Mount Kilimanjaro | Tanzania
Need we say more about this one. Every thrill seeker wants to tick this life-altering experience off their bucket list. Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa, at a height of 4900 metres from its base; and is a dormant volcano. The hike takes between five and nine days to complete, but this depends on the route, the weather conditions and your ability. Statistics show that less than half of all climbers reach the summit.
Shark Cage Diving | South Africa
South Africa is world-renown for its Great White Sharks. People come from all around the globe to catch sight of these ‘beasts of the sea’ in the place they call home. They are sight indeed, as they can be as large as 6.4 metres in length, and weigh as much as 1000kg as an adult. If you want to feast your eyes on these beautiful but vicious creatures, why not go shark cage diving? You can find this activity in the waters of Hermanus – a seaside village around 2 hours out of Cape Town; or in False Bay, a mere 40 minutes from Cape Town’s city centre.
Hike Dune 45 in Namibia
Hiking Dune 45 is for the less adventurous folk, because this activity is fairly easy, and it’s also not overwhelmingly high – so those with fear of heights need not worry! Tourists and locals climb this jaw-dropping sand dune in Namibia, which is situated next to Deadvlei. Once climbers reach the highest point, they roll/run down the dune, which is said to be the highlight of the excursion!
Hot Air Balloon Flights | South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Namibia, Botswana
Hot air balloon flights are another favourite! It may be a little pricey, but it sure is worth it! Flying over the grasslands in Kenya, peering down at the wildlife below; or viewing the hippos, crocs and big five from a new perspective in Botswana’s Okavango Delta, is priceless.
