We make our way across the border and into Namibia at Katima Mulilo, giving us a chance to make a stopover for a tasty lunch. We then journey further into Namibia’s Caprivi Strip to Camp Kwando or a similar lodge. This lodge has an exquisite view over the sparkling Kwando River, a tributary of the Chobe River, which created the divider between Botswana and Namibia.

Following a hearty early breakfast, we embark on a game drive in the close by Mudumu Game Reserve which provides us with the chance to spot some huge game. Elephant, Kudu and other antelope are frequently spotted in this region. We make our way back to our lodge in the early afternoon where we have a brief rest before leaving for a midday cruise on the glittering Kwando River. When we arrive at our lodge, take some time to indulge in a lovely drink before being served a delicious dinner. An early night’s sleep is encouraged tonight.

Accommodation: Camp Kwando or similar

Day 3: Okavango Delta, Botswana

We awake early to proceed west along the Caprivi Strip until we arrive at Poppa Falls, situated on the Okavango River. We embark on a nature walk through the bush to view the rapids close up, our last view of the majestic Okavango River before it makes its way into the Delta. From Poppa Falls we head to Botswana, heading into Mahango Game Reserve just before the border. Located on the floodplains of the Okavango River, Mahango Game Reserve is renowned for its spottings of Red Lechwe, Sable and Roan Antelope, along with various other animals. Departing this picturesque reserve, we have a brief stop at the border crossing back into Botswana and then make our way south to Nxamasere or a similar lodge for two evenings. Nxamasere is located in the Okavango Delta, overlooking a massive lagoon that gives the lodge its name.

Take time to experience the lovely town in the afternoon – a renowned tourist centre of Northern Botswana. We spend our time in Northern Chobe, a Park which is abundant with game due to the Chobe River supplying water throughout the entire year. Massive elephant herds are frequently spotted wandering to and from the river. Because of the big concentrations of herbivores in this region, many predators such as lion and leopards can be seen here. We spend our evenings at a lodge in Kasane, from where we embark on a game drive into the Park in the early morning, as well as a river cruise on the glimmering Chobe River in the afternoon that allows for fantastic views of our surrounds.

We spend our final evening at Maramba Lodge, having just experienced the trip of a lifetime. Take the opportunity to partake in the many exhilarating activities here.
