Day 2: Nairobi – Arusha, Tanzania
You will spend the day traveling to Tanzania.
Arriving in Arusha in the afternoon, we cross the border into Tanzania. During your stay, you will have the opportunity to explore the town and its bustling markets as well as stay in the comfort of a hotel. The Tanzania portion of the trip will begin upon your arrival in Arusha along with other travellers.

Day 3: Arusha – Mto wa Mbu, Tanzania
During the guided cultural tour and traditional lunch with the local family, you will have the opportunity to experience the Mto wa Mbu village. Visit Lake Manyara National Park for a wildlife safari drive. Participate in a cultural walk in the village of Mto wa Mbu to gain an understanding of the way of life in the area. Experience a delicious home-made traditional lunch prepared by the women who conduct the village tours.
Visit the ficus trees and bromeliads of Lake Manyara National Park in the afternoon and observe the wildlife along the main road that winds through the park’s lush cool forests. An absolutely stunning backdrop is provided by the western wall of the Rift Valley escarpment. Visit the incredible birdlife, lions who climb trees, elephants, giraffes, and hippos that live here.

Day 4: Mto wa Mbu – Serengeti National Park, Tanzania
On your way to the central Serengeti, take a wildlife safari drive. Upon entering Serengeti National Park, drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. While cruising through the acacia-accented savanna, marvel at the sheer vastness of this territory and watch for a variety of animals and birds.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park, Tanzania
The Serengeti wildlife safari begins early in the morning. Take in the vastness of the Serengeti plains while enjoying a picnic lunch in the bush.
Those who have pre-booked a Serengeti Balloon Safari will depart in the morning. As a result, you will be unable to take a morning wildlife safari drive with the group, but you will be able to enjoy spectacular views from above. Alternatively, you may contact your guide or travel agent if you have not yet pre-booked.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro , Tanzania
In the morning, visit the Serengeti wildlife park, then continue your wildlife viewing in the Ngorongoro Crater, before enjoying a spectacular view of the crater from your campsite.
Approximately 20,000 to 25,000 large mammals reside on the Crater floor due to its rich pastures and permanent water sources.
It is important to note that due to our camp’s high altitude, the temperatures can drop during the night. For the evening and the following morning, it is recommended that you bring extra layers of clothing.

Transfer to the hotel after arriving on the beautiful island of Zanzibar. During an orientation tour in Stone Town, you will be able to choose to continue on for a longer walking tour, or you can explore on your own.
You will enjoy a scenic flight to this island paradise after you are transferred to the airport. Upon arrival in Stone Town, take part in an orientation walk and lunch. The Old Slave Market, House of Wonders, Palace Museum will be visited as part of a longer tour of Stone Town. Admission to these sites is optional and must be purchased upon arrival.
Upon arrival in Zanzibar, you will be greeted by your local Zanzibar guide, who will accompany you on the flight from Arusha/Kilimanjaro Airport to Zanzibar. All relevant flight information will be provided to you by your guide/driver.

Do I need a Yellow Fever Vaccine?
You may be required to show a Yellow Fever certificate upon entering the country(s) visited. Please check in with your local health expert for advice on Yellow Fever and other inoculations required for this area. According to the WHO and CDC, there is no risk of yellow fever in Botswana. It is compulsory to show a valid Yellow Fever vaccination certificate if you are travelling to Botswana from a Yellow Fever endemic country, or have recently travelled to a Yellow Fever endemic country.What is a participation tour?
Your safari will require some participation on your part. The tour group is usually divided into small groups and given different tasks which change on a day to day basis. These will include helping with meal prep, cleaning up after means and packing out tables and chairs. It's all part of your adventure and when everyone puts in a little effort the trip will run smoothly.What is required on a camping tour?
All camping equipment (with the exception of your sleeping bag and pillow) is supplied. We supply dome tents which you will need to assemble and disassemble, it's really simple and only takes 5 minutes. All tents have built-in insect nets. Mattresses are also available, which are approximately 4cm thick, warm and comfortable. You will simply need to bring your own sleeping bag, pillow, sheet and towel.What is an overland truck?
Your trusted transport is a custom built 24 seater vehicle. It has internal storage for your main luggage along with a safety box for valuable. The Overland truck also has large sliding windows, perfect for game viewing. However we will be travelling in smaller safari vehicles in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. Your overland seat will be reclining and has a USB charger port along with air conditioning. The truck has a fully equipped mobile kitchen and holds a 250L tank of drinking water. There are however no on-board bathrooms on the overland truck, but your driver will make rest stops along the way for your convenience.FROM
