The Safari Camp is situated at Shaws Gate Sabi Sand, bordering the Sabi Sand Game Reserve and only 10km from the Paul Kruger Gate. The 6 tented rooms combine privacy and comfort complete with en suite bathrooms with a shower and air-conditioning, while upholding the traditions of an African safari camp. Children are able to have their own tented room on the same deck as their parents. For toddlers, we provide stretchers in the same tent as the parents. Daily departures available.

Itinerary
Day 1: Johannesburg to Greater Kruger Park
You begin your trip by being collected at the Johannesburg International Airport /Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport/ Skukuza Airport or from your pre accommodation within one of the designated pick up zones to the Safari Camp. Leaving the city of gold, Johannesburg, on an air-conditioned vehicle, you move north east to the Greater Kruger region. We arrive at the Safari Camp situated close to Shaws Gate Sabi Sand, only a few kilometres from the Paul Kruger Gate beside the Private Game Reserve.
Take some time to clean up before making your way to the Sabi Sand Game Reserve on an evening game drive. The reserve is well-known for its incredible leopard sightings as well as other animals within range. Be prepared for a breath-taking beautiful open air game drive on a 4×4 vehicle through the Kruger Park and Sabi Sand Parks.
After your game drive you are welcomed back to the camp by a lovely campfire. Relaxing at the fire before being served dinner in the boma, under the star filled sky or in the dining area. Spend the rest of your night enjoying the campfire before experiencing a full day in the bush.

Day 2: Kruger Park Game Drives
Begin your day with a breath of fresh air in the untamed bush. Coffee and tea will be made available to you before journeying into the Kruger National Park. Our game drive consists of wildlife sightings on the best routes as well as the possibility of spotting the Big Five of Africa. Making your way back to the camp after the morning drive, you enjoy an appetising brunch.
Feel free to spend your time unwinding or enjoy it by making use of the optional activities and facilities available at the camp by swimming in the pool, relaxing on the viewing deck or taking a walk around the campsite. Lunch is served in the dining area around 02:00pm before setting off on another game drive in the Kruger National Park. The tour offers an experience of a lifetime in the open 4×4 vehicles. Your guide will be more than welcomed to answer all your questions regarding the Kruger and Sabi Sand.
Heading back to the camp, drinks are served around the campfire before a delicious well prepared meal for dinner. The remainder of the night can be enjoyed under the magical skies or have an early night for a good night’s rest.

Day 3: Sabi Sand and Game Walk & Safari Drive
Starting the day bright and early, we set off in the early hours of the morning for game viewing to experience the animals at their most active. Enjoy a hot cup of coffee or tea before making your way on a morning game viewing walk in the Sabi Sand Reserve. Be enlightened by your guide with information about the plants and animals in the area, while travelling on foot through the reserve. This is an extremely remarkable experience.
Experience an adrenaline pumping walk deep into the bush with the chances of coming face to face with a lion pride, a herd of elephants and other wildlife. This game walk is an educational one with the satisfaction of filling in the facts of the African bush as well as the animals within it. Making your way back to camp after your game walk, a mouth-watering breakfast awaits you.
Lunch is served around 02:00pm, thereafter you have more time to yourself before heading on your next game drive. Famous for the sightings of the Big Five, Sabi Sand Game Reserve gives you an opportunity to capture memories of the African bush.
Icy cold drinks await you in the boma on your return to camp after sunset. Enjoy a delicious meal under the stars in the dining area and end your night off listening to the sounds that the untamed bush has to offer.

Day 4: Kruger Park Game Drives
Enjoy a fresh cup of tea or coffee before setting off on a thrilling morning game drive in Kruger Park. Heading back to the camp for brunch, after seeing the wildlife of the park and making sure you capture these magnificent views on camera. Followed by free time to enjoy the facilities the camp has to offer.
Prepare for a game drive in the afternoon after a light lunch in the dining area between 12:00pm and 02:00pm. Kruger Park is home to a variety of animals and plants such as 336 distinct trees, over 500 types of birds and 114 reptiles. The park holds 34 types of amphibians and 49 kinds of fish. We arrive back at camp for supper this evening and enjoy drinks around the fire

Day 5: Camp to Johannesburg via Panorama Route
Your adventure comes to an end today at 5:30pm. Making your way back to Johannesburg via Mpumalanga’s Panorama Route, enjoy the stunning views of God’s Window, Lisbon Falls and Graskop in the Blyde River Canyon region.
