Why Book This Tour?

This short yet unique Budget Kruger Safari tour leads you through the untamed wilderness of Africa. The Mpumalanga region is bordered on the western end of a giant escarpment abundant with dense forests, clear streams and gushing waterfalls. As this Reserve is, in fact, privately owned, we have the chance to embark on several hiking paths and open vehicle drives throughout the area with expertly trained staff. The tour requires participation from all group members. This entails assisting with the food preparation, washing of dishes and keeping the truck clean. Please keep in mind that flexibility and an open mind is needed on the trip.  The guide is registered with the Field Guide Association of Southern Africa (FGASA). The tour has been designed to include all highlights in the price and thus avoid any hidden surprises. On the accommodated trip all equipment is provided including linen including towels.

Day 1: Johannesburg to Kruger Bush Camp, South Africa

Leaving at 06h30 from the City of Gold, Johannesburg, we journey through the picturesque route that leads us to Mpumalanga. On the way, we pay a visit to Dullstroom where we stop for brunch. We then wind our way down to the Drakensburg escarpment. Over the following two days we will stay in a fantastic bush lodge situated in the well-known Kruger National Park which is teeming with wildlife.

Our tents are beautifully designed in order to blend in with our surrounds. The camp boasts soft beds, en-suite bathrooms, a revitalizing splash pool and incredible views over the vegetation that encircles us. In the evening, dinner is prepared on a crackling open fire.

Day 2: Kruger Bushveld Camp, South Africa

We begin today by dipping local rusks into a good cup of coffee before embarking on a lovely game walk. We trek for around three hours, seeking out game and making frequent stops in order to be educated about the ways of the bush. A guide and tracker will lead you through all the walks in the Park. We make our way back to camp for an early afternoon brunch, after which we spend some time unwinding by the pool. At midday, we climb aboard an open vehicle in order to conduct a game drive that transforms into a lengthy, but thrilling, evening game drive. Residing in the bush in the evening grants us the chance to observe plenty of nocturnal creatures which would usually be difficult to spot. Dinner is a delicious bush ‘braai’, before we are lulled to sleep by the distant calls of the wild.
