Itinerary

Day 1: Windhoek – Namibia

Upon your midday arrival at Windhoek International Airport you will be transferred to your accommodation, Elegant Guesthouse, with some time to settle in and freshen up before meeting your guide for a short city tour. Explore the capital city while visiting Christ Church and Tintenpalast (House of Parliament). Tonight you can enjoy dinner at Joe’s Beerhouse for your own expense.

Day 2: Windhoek – Kalahari, Namibia

After a short safari briefing we head off south passing through the small town of Rehoboth as we travel towards Mariental. Arriving at the Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch, you will be taken aback by the striking red sand dunes of the southern Kalahari. This is the ideal location to relax and appreciate the peaceful landscapes of the desert. There is a fantastic (optional) San Bushmen walk tomorrow morning, allowing you the opportunity to learn more about the regions flora and fauna as well as the traditional lifestyle of the San.

Day 3: Kalahari – Namib Desert, Namibia

Those who want to take a sunrise drive will have an early start to the day. Enjoy the beauty of your surroundings as the first rays of sunlight fall on the red sand dunes while participating in an optional activity that allows you to watch as the desert rises. During this picturesque trip, a local guide will accompany you and provide you with insights into the amazing ecology and wildlife of the Kalahari. After there, you travel towards Sesriem via Mariental and Maltahöhe, which is the entrance to the enormous star dunes of the Namib Desert at Sossusvlei. After you’ve reached your lodging, you can unwind for a while. Those that slept in this morning might wish to consider taking an optional afternoon beautiful drive and sundowner. As an alternative, you may just relax and take in your lovely surroundings by lying by the pool. There includes a three-course dinner and overnight accommodations at the Elegant Desert Camp.

Day 4: Exploring Sossusvlei, Namibia

You enter the Sossusvlei region when the Namib Naukluft Park gates open at sunrise. You can even climb one of the dunes to get an amazing perspective of the surrounding area if you get there early and are in good enough shape. Traveling in a 4×4 vehicle, you will arrive to the Sossusvlei, a dry clay pit that only gets filled with water during exceptionally rainy years. After there, you’ll go on to the Sesriem Canyon, which was created over millions of years by the Tsauchab River. You return to the elegant desert camp after a busy morning. Unwind and take in your lovely surroundings. As the day comes to an end, it’s worthwhile to recline and take in the scenery above you: Countless stars, gleaming in the pitch-black night sky. You may also roll your bed out onto your own terrace and spend the night outside if you can’t get enough of this captivating sight.

Day 5: Namibia Desert – Swakopmund, Namibia

You will be traveling to the Atlantic Ocean today. But first, you go along the Welwitschia Drive, past the Bloedkoppie. You will eventually come to a number of viewpoint sites where you may enjoy breathtaking views of the lunar landscape. We cordially welcome you to get out of the vehicle and take in this unusual and enthralling scenery of jagged peaks. It is a scene that is both gorgeous and strangely disturbing. You will next arrive in the village of Swakopmund, which is tucked away between the Namib Desert and the ocean. You may become more acquainted with this town, which has strong German influences, with a quick city tour. You might try one of the many eateries Swakopmund has to offer in the evening (at your own expense); the fish is especially delicious! You will stay for two nights at Organic Stay Guesthouse, just five minutes’ walk from the Atlantic Ocean.

Day 6: Swakopmund – Cape Cross – Swakopmund, Namibia

This morning we enjoy a scrumptious breakfast after which, the rest of the morning is for you to spend as you please. There are a variety of optional activities available from quad biking and catamaran trips to a desert safaris (all optional). We reconvene in the afternoon for a drive to the seal colony at Cape Cross. Thereafter, it’s back to Swakopmund for a delicious dinner at one of the restaurants (own expense).

Day 7: Swakopmund – Erongo Mountains, Namibia

Saying farewell to the Atlantic seaboard, we travel inland to the 700 million years old Spitzkoppe know for it’s granite dome-like peaks. These natural structures can be seen from a distance as they rise up 1730 metres above sea level. We continue our adventure towards the Erongo Mountains and arrive at our destination, Otjohotozu Guestfarm. We embark on a sundowner drive capturing the spectacular scenery and learning more about the indigenous fauna and ecosystem. On return we enjoy dinner together at the guestfarm.

Day 8: Erongo Mountains – Twyfelfontein, Namibia

There’s another amazing day in store. Today, your direction of travel will be north-westerly. To view the well-known rock engravings, Twyfelfontein is your first destination. Anticipate learning about these priceless Namibian cultural gems, which are thought to be at least 2.000 years old. You then go to the Damara Living Museum. You will discover more about the Damara people’s way of life from hundreds of years ago, including their craftsmanship, dances, and songs. You make your way to the stunning Malansrus Tented Camp throughout the afternoon. Remain calm and at ease!

Day 9 : Desert Elephant Tracking

You will go to the arid Huab riverbed in the early morning hours in pursuit of the endangered desert elephants. You can take in Damaraland’s distinctive scenery and discover more about the locals’ way of life while on the journey. If you’re lucky, you may observe elephants that have adapted to the desert; they are marginally smaller than elephants found in Etosha National Park. You then make your way back to Malansrus Tented Camp. You can anticipate enjoying yet another delectable dinner and drift off to sleep to the sounds of nature.

Day 10 : Twyfelfontein – Etosha National Park, Namibia

One of the most well-known national parks in Southern Africa, Etosha National Park was established in 1907 and is the destination of your travel today. The majority of your game viewing experience will be spent around the waterholes frequented by giraffes, elephants, rhinos, and several antelope species. You could even be able to see lions and leopards if you’re lucky. Following a plethora of thrilling sightings, you depart from Etosha in the late afternoon at the Anderson Gate, arriving at your overnight destination, Etosha Village, in a matter of minutes. After a satisfying dinner and a refreshing drink at the bar, celebrate the end of the day with plans for further safari explorations.

Day 11 : Etosha National Park, Namibia

Our day begins after daybreak with a hearty breakfast, before preparing ourselves for more game viewing. We drive along the salt pan that spans nearly a fourth of the whole park and is Etosha’s most unique feature. You will most likely spot herds of zebra, gnus, oryx and impalas that roam the Etosha National Park. We leave the park in the evening at the Van Lindequist Gate and head to our luxury en-suite tents for an indulgent overnight stay.

Day 12 : Etosha Area – Waterberg, Namibia

This morning, you begin your day by waking up early and embarking on a game drive in Etosha National Park after breakfast. The safari experience is always different and full of surprises. You are likely to spot animals you have not seen for some time – every day is different and exciting. Your journey now takes you further south, leaving the Etosha region.

From a distance, it will be possible to see the Waterberg and its steep, red cliffs. The Waterberg Guest Farm is located at the foot of the Small Waterberg Mountain. Upon arrival, you may have the opportunity to go on a hike and explore the beautiful surroundings, or you may simply wish to relax by the pool and enjoy the quiet of the surroundings.

Day 13 : Waterberg – Windhoek, Namibia

After much adventure, we make our way back to Windhoek where the journey began. Briefly stopping in Okahandja at the market where you can purchase a few hand crafted souvenirs, baskets or jewellery. Depending on the road conditions, we arrive in Windhoek around mid afternoon and you will be taken to the airport or your choice of accommodation.

What is meant by Lodge Safari?

Your lodge safari will travel the remote and popular regions of Namibia on both tar and gravel roads. Enroute you will see diverse landscapes and experience Namibia's unique highlights, history and cultures. You will also enjoy game drives in renown national parks. Namibia is a vast country and for this reason there will be many long driving distances to explore it's length and breadth. Your Namibia lodge safari will accommodate you in comfortable rooms with en-suites and friendly service. Your group will consist of min 2 and maximum 6 people who could be couples, friends or solo travelers. You will enjoy the trip if you maintain a flexible mindset as unexpected hundles may arise along the tour which require patience and an open mind along with a dash of humour. You can expect to have breakfast around 8am and dinners will generally be at 8pm in the evening. Your guide will determine the time to leave based on the day's itinerary and your needs.

What is the crew like on tour?

You will be travelling with a qualified and registered guide who will double as your diver. Their in-depth knowledge of the region due to their many years of experience ensure your guide will be engaging and interesting while ensuring your safety on tour.
