In 1997 Gamewatchers started renting land from the Maasai with the aim of protecting wildlife, wilderness and helping the local Maasai earn revenue through tourism.

They also own and run the exclusive, eco-friendly tented camps in Kenya, the Porini Camps and the Nairobi Tented Camp, the only camp located inside the Nairobi National Park. Porini Camps offer high quality authentic safaris at our camps of only 6 – 10 rooms in Maasai Mara / Amboseli / Laikipia and Nairobi park. Porini Camps include day & night game drives in open 4×4’s, guided bush walks, sundowners, all meals, bush breakfasts, soft drinks, house wines and gin & tonics.
