Camping Safaris South Africa

Our camping safaris in South Africa with a group maximum of 12 to 30 travellers, offering a more amazing South African adventure. Camping in the bush provides you with a unique experience unlike no other. Waking up to the sounds of the wilderness and the warm African sun is definitely an experience you won’t forget.

Most of the camping trips are conducted in 2 man dome tents with mattresses provided. They are very easy to set up and large and well ventilated (the doors and windows have mess to prevent bugs from entering).

The budget camping safaris in South Africa due require a degree of participation and are better suited to individuals who like to chip in (putting up your tent, helping with some food preparation if needed etc).

When is the Best time to go on a South Africa Tour

If you love sun, surf and hiking up our glorious mountains then our Summer months in the Western Cape are the best time to visit with temperatures in the 25 to 30 degrees range. These are from December to March. A heavy rainfall and average temperatures of 14 to 16 degrees can be expected from June to August. The Kruger Park area experiences heavy Summer showers from December to March. Their Winter dry period is from May to October where the animals tend to congregate around the waterholes which makes for beautiful wildlife viewing as they drink and splash around in the water. The KwaZulu-Natal coast offers year-round sunshine, and a very mild winter with warm ocean temperatures so if you can’t pick and choose your time, anytime is a good time!
