11 Day Botswana and Victoria Falls Comfort Safari

Day 1 – 2: Deception Valley Private Reserve, Botswana

You will meet your guide at the Maun Airport at 14h30 to begin your safari. On the northern border of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, you will travel 120km to the Deception Valley Private Reserve. You will receive a safari briefing upon arrival. Accommodation this evening will be spent in a comfortable camp.

Two days will be dedicated to exploring the area, including game drives and nature walks led by San trackers. As well as sharing their intricate bush knowledge, they will also give you a glimpse into their fascinating and unique culture. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to experience game drives, which will show you a fascinating range of desert specialized wildlife such as oryx and predators like lions, hyenas, and cheetahs. Uninterrupted beauty and vast open spaces await you.

Day 3: Makgadikgadi, Botswana

Before going to Makgadikgadi, you’ll take a short game drive as the sun rises. You will spend one night at a camp overlooking the Boteti River in Khumaga village, on the edge of Makgadikgadi National Park. Arrive for lunch, have some down-time to rest and then enjoy a game drive along the Boteti river before enjoying a short siesta.

Day 4: Moremi /Khwai, Botswana

In the morning, you will leave for Maun, where you will stop over for lunch (at your own expense). The adventure then continues to Khwai, where you will travel through beautiful wildlife areas, enjoying game viewing along the way. In the afternoon, you can take an air transfer to Khwai (one hour, including a scenic flight of 15 minutes, price TBA by your guide or agent, payment in USD cash only). A wildlife-rich area of Botswana, the Khwai River area lies between the Moremi Game Reserve and the Khwai River area on your journey. While absorbing the sounds and beauty of this area, we will spend the next three days searching for the wide variety of wildlife and birds that inhabit this region. Early morning and late afternoon game drives are ideal for enjoying the sunrise and setting sun. Spend a night at Khwai Guesthouse in Khwai Village.

Day 5 – 6: Khwai/ Moremi, Botswana

In the following two days, you will explore further the Khwai River area surrounding the Moremi / Khwai concession (North-east Moremi / Khwai Concession) of the famous Okavango Delta. In addition, you will have the opportunity to take a mokoro excursion into a concession area managed by a community group. The mokoro poler/guide will share secrets of the water system with you after you take a scenic drive to the mokoro station.

Day 7: Chobe National Park, Botswana

In the northern part of Chobe National Park, you will stay 2 nights at a rustic camp, where you can explore the northern reaches of the park. Our full day activity today will be game drives across the Chobe flood plains in the Savuti area of the Chobe National Park. Your lunch break will be en-route and you will arrive at the lodge late in the afternoon.

Day 8: Chobe National Park, Botswana

There is time spent in northern Chobe, which has an incredibly rich game population because of the year-round supply of water provided by the Chobe River. Elephants and buffalo in large herds can often be seen here. In this area, lions and leopards are common predators due to the high density of herbivores. In addition to a game drive and boat cruise, Chobe Elephant Camp offers an opportunity for you to immerse yourself in this magnificent area both on land and underwater.

Day 9: Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

A visa is required for today’s trip to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, where you will spend two nights at a comfortable lodge. If you are interested in participating in activities during your stay (at your own expense), the lodge team will assist you. Take in the magnificent falls or browse curios during the afternoon. Dinner will be at own expense

Travelling Time: ± 3.5  hours (plus border crossing)

Day 10: Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

There is an activities desk at the lodge where you can make bookings for a day of exploration in Vic Falls. If you have not pre-booked an activity, please ask the lodge reception for details about white water rafting, canoeing on the upper Zambezi, and helicopter flights over the Victoria Falls.

Day 11: Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

If you require post-tour accommodation and transfers, we are more than happy to arrange them. These services are available at an additional cost to the Victoria Falls airport, Kasane, or any other nearby lodge.
