South Africa is one of the most beautiful countries in its entire continent, boasting impressive wildlife, stunning scenery, vibrant cultures, and unique landscapes. South Africa walking safaris are thus one of the most sublime ways in which to experience the genuine beauty of it all.
South African walking safari tours allow you to truly engage in an authentic ‘bush’ experience, sleeping wherever you stop, beneath the velvet, star-speckled sky. Your evenings are spent relaxing around crackling campfires, soaking in the events of the day, or simply resting while taking in all of the beautiful sounds around you.
You could choose to partake in a Kruger Park walking safari, during which you get to spend plenty of time exploring the highlights of the reserve – which hosts the Big Five. Aside from the Kruger National Park, these South African walking safaris see you head into marvellous areas, such as the Mpumalanga Panorama Route, St Lucia, the mighty Drakensberg Mountains, and even the majestic country of Swaziland.
Highlights of other South African walking safari packages include areas like the remarkable Garden Route, Blyde River Canyon, Milwane Nature Reserve, Addo Elephant National Park, several gems of the Western Cape – such as Stellenbosch and Cape Town, and more.
What makes a South African walking safari holiday so enticing to adventurers is the undeniable sense of excitement you feel while trekking through the wilderness, tracking magnificent, beautiful creatures and experiencing incredible close encounters with them. This makes for an unbelievable and unforgettable experience, keeping the real spirit of Africa alive and well.
Kruger National Park accommodated safaris are highly popular – with the Kruger Park being South Africa’s flagship nature reserve, and home to the majestic Big Five. Highlights of our budget four-day tour include seeing the Blyde River Canyon and Bourkes Luck Potholes, while these safaris are geared toward finding leopards, lions and elephants.
Our Garden Route tours take you down one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in the world, stopping at sights like the Cango Caves, the winelands of Stellenbosch, Port Elizabeth and the Ostrich capital – Oudtshoorn.
If you prefer tropical climates and some fun in the sun, try our accommodated tours of the land of the Zulu, Durban – with packages that also include stops in Swaziland and Lesotho.
Beach and wildlife safari holidays are perfect to enjoy a combination of South Africa’s two best assets, while our incredible Rainbow Nations tours showcase the true diversity of South Africa.
