Specially designed overland safari vehicles will ensure you have a comfortable and safe journey on the rough, dirt roads. They are well maintained and equipped with all you need for a successful safari. Sliding glass windows allow for optimum game viewing and taking photographs.
Africa Travel Co Accommodation
The accommodation varies from two-man dome tents to luxury hotels and lodges. The lodges have comfortable beds and some of them have en-suite bathrooms. The tents have mosquito nets, window areas, a ground sheet and a waterproof flysheet. The tents are checked on a regular basis for leaks and there are spare tents available on the truck in case they get damaged.
Africa Travel Co Crew
Enjoy peace of mind with their experienced crew that consists of a driver, trip leader and a cook. Their crew have a wealth of experience that they have acquired from life on the road in the African bush. They are always willing to share their knowledge with you and assist you along the safari.
Africa Travel Co Food on Tour
On camping tours the food is prepared by the cook with your assistance. There is something special about eating surrounded by nature away from the distraction of technology. There is a fully-equipped kitchen on the truck where most of your meals are prepared if you are on a camping safari. The cook will prepare the meals, but you are asked to help where you can.
You can enjoy tasty food made from local organic ingredients that are purchased from the communities. The breakfasts are fairly simple consisting of bread (or toast), spreads, cereals, fruit, rusks with occasional hot breakfasts such as eggs bacon or pancakes. Lunches include sandwiches with a variety of fillings and salads. Dinners such as curries, stews, pastas, braais and even roasts can be enjoyed.
If you are on an accommodated tour you will be provided with food from the restaurant.
