Fish River Canyon – Sesriem, Namibia

Following an evening spent nearby the canyon we continue north until arriving at Sesriem – the gateway to the Namib-Naukluft National Park, containing the world’s oldest desert and highest sand dunes. The Namib-Naukluft National Park is the largest in Africa and fourth largest in all the world, encompassing part of the Namib Desert and the Naukluft Mountain Range. It is bigger than Switzerland, with an overall area of approximately 50,000 square km. We set up for the night, under the star-speckled Namibian sky.
