Chobe National Park – Savuti Areas

We are able to travel deep into the southwest corner of the Chobe National Park today, by means of a 4X4 wheel drive only. From there, we head to the Savuti Marsh – a relic of a massive inland lake, fed from time to time by the Savuti Channel. This area is comprised of undulating savannah, drawing in a wide variety of antelope species, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo and elephant. In turn, these attract a range of predators, including lion, leopard, hyena, wild dog and cheetah. This is an incredible game viewing day, and camping in the wild only serves to better the thrillof being so near to the true wilderness of nature.
