Moremi – Maun
We awake early to head out on a morning game drive, returning to camp later on in the day to pack up and begin our journey to Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta. Maun is the fifth largest town in all of the country, and is the hub of Botswana’s tourism industry. The road from Moremi to Maun crosses enormous regions of protected community land, and on the way to the town we will pass the Buffalo Fence, which circles the entire southern portion of the Delta, protecting it from cattle encroachment. The neighbouring regions of Maun offer you a chance to observe authentic rural life at its best, with locals working the land and tending to their livestock.
