Hwange National Park – Zambezi National Park

This morning we embark on a lovely game drive through Hwange National Park in the hopes of spotting several of the animals we mayhave missed on yesterday’s game drives. The best time to see wildlife is in fact in the morning, when they are usually most active – specifically the nocturnal predators that may still be out in the reserve following an evening of hunting. We then make our way back to Victoria Falls whilst keeping an eye out for the wildlife that can be spotted along the roadsides. At midday we take part in a walking safari in the beautiful Zambezi National Park, where Africa’s Big 5 (leopard, lion, elephant, buffalo and rhino) can be found. Other animals that have made this reserve their home include herds of sable antelope, eland, zebra, giraffe, kudu, waterbuck, impala and plenty of other smaller wildlife species. In the northern border of the Park is the powerful Zambezi River which acts as a border, creating a natural divider between Zimbabwe and Zambia. We spend our day exploring all that this area has to offer and spend several hours wandering along the beautiful walking paths. Seeing wildlife on foot is an extremely exhilarating experience, as well as a wonderful manner in which to view the animals in their natural habitats. After this thrilling day in the Park, we head back to the stunning Victoria Falls.
