Nata Bird Sanctuary & Khwai River – Botswana

In the morning we travel towards the Nata Bird Sanctuary, where we will have breakfast and the chance to experience a magnificent view over the Sowa pan. The Sowa pan is a natural salt pan that forms part of the Magkadigkadi Pans. (Please note that a visit to the pans will be subject to the road conditions, water levels and time constraints).

Our camp for the night is at the Khwai Bedouin camp located in a private concession. The game viewing that you will experience will depend on the time of year you visit. The dry season (August to November) is Spring and the animals congregate around waterholes and rivers for great photo opportunities. In Summer, the birdlife is abundant and you can hopefully spot the wildfowl and raptors. The tents you will stay in have a Bedouin-style to them giving them a nomadic ambiance.
