Caprivi to Okavango Delta – Botswana

We depart from our camp at Caprivi for Etsha 13, located on the Okavango Delta’s western border. Different to other deltas, the Okavango runs into the Kalahari Desert never reaching the coast, making it extremely unique as the world’s biggest inland delta. Before we reach our campsite we will go on a game drive to the Mahungu National Park with its rich varieties of fauna and flora. Also expect to spot a variety of game such as elephants, hippo pods, buffalos and various antelope. There are also over 420 types of bird species in the area.

The following day is spent navigating our way through narrow water channels and dense plant life by means of mokoros (traditional dug-out canoes). During this outing you will spot a range of different birds and animals and we will make a stop at a remote island for an hour long guided walk, during which we will seek out elephants, waterbuck and other wild animals that have made this paradise their home.
