Hermanus – Cape Town

Today we have the morning to spend at our leisure in Hermanus, allowing us plenty of time to partake in a stunning whale watching tour, to explore the town’s assortment of shops and boardwalk on foot, or to pay a visit to the old Harbour open-Air Museum – a provincial heritage site. This museum is unique due to the fact that it is only one of two fishing harbours in the entire world that has been preserved intact – remainders of the dynamic fishing industry can be spotted everywhere. The museum is the base around which the village of Hermanus was constructed. We depart from this beautiful area just before lunch and continue through the rough terrain of the coastal route, being sure to take a slow and scenic drive through the small fishing towns en route. We pay a visit to a winery located on the outskirts of Cape Town, where we partake in a winery tour and delight in some fantastic wine tasting. Our tour winds to an end in the early evening at the foot of the iconic Table Mountain in the South Africa’s  cosmopolitan ‘Mother City’, Cape Town.
