Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater & Serengeti Excursion, Tanzania

This morning we leave early for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and make our way into the wildlife rich Ngorongoro Crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest unbroken, unflooded caldera in the world with open savannahs, acacia forests and both soda and fresh water lakes. This World Heritage Site has some of the best game viewing in the African continent, including the elusive Black Rhino.

Following our game drive, we travel down the Crater rim and past the ‘Cradle of Mankind’ before reaching the Serengeti National Park. Game driving through the southern and central regions of the Park, we cross seemingly infinite landscapes of incredible natural beauty. We camp tonight in the bushveld (no ablution facilities) surrounded by the cool breezes and tranquil sounds of the African wilderness.
