Named after Mount Kenya, the second highest mountain in Africa. Kenya boasts a vast and varied amount of wildlife. Namely, the endangered black rhino, eland, wildebeest, cape buffalo, elephant, giraffe, hippo, lion, leopard and cheetah, to name but a few.
Kenya also has many expansive lakes, such as Lake Naivasha that is a haven for birdlife. Here you will find pelican, herons and cormorants, amongst others. An amazing bird to witness in flight is the African Fish Eagle, with its majestic hunter’s call.
